Icons have historically been linked to religious imagery related to the orthodox church, though the meaning of word “icon” has transformed into something more akin to “monumental” or “timeless”.

This box is an attempt to represent, as minimally as possible, the essence of Modernism, from the rediscovery of perspective during the Renaissance, to the fragmentation of relativism in the 20th century – an icon for the birth and death of Modernism.
